Faces of Iraq

Name: Fa’eza Khadim Mohammed Al-Obaidi

DoB: 1964

Province: Baghdad

Profession: Member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives (CoR)

What is the benefit that you have obtained from participating in Iraqi Women Program  Parliamentarians of the Post Elections Democracy Project?

The PEDP project benefited me through reviewing the public opnion questionnairs, taking part in the project’s effective training, participating in dialogues, and increasing my knowledge about the work of a parliamentarian and my duties

What have you learnt during the project?

I learnt how to hold productive discussions, how other women parliamentarians think, and better identify  problems newly elected women parliamentarians face and how to solve these problems.

Do you think that the Iraq Foundation has positively supported the Iraqi society or the local society through this project?

Yes, the IF program represents a service to the Iraqi society and to women parliamentarians, given the focus of the Project.  IF has helped us identify our obsticles and shortcomings as parliamentarians and how to better serve.
