Helping Iraq's Children

A Fundraiser to support Iraqi charities for children and our work on human rights and democratization in Iraq!

The Iraq Foundation held its first fundraising event on January 27, 2006 in Washington, DC to support local Iraqi children's charities and its greater efforts towards human rights and democratization in Iraq. We are proud to announce that this effort raised $10,000 in support of Iraqi children's charities!

We would like to kindly thank all of our sponsors, speakers, artists, and guests for making the evening a success!

*Please note that the Iraq Foundation does not accapt in-kind charitable contributions (such as goods, food, shoes, sports equipment, etc...) It is extremely expensive to transport such goods and almost always more cost-effective to buy the needed goods in country or in a near-by country.

*Iraq Foundation team distributed 70 blankets to Dina Institute for handicapped Children in Baghdad
