IF Mourns the Loss of Basil Al- Rahim

It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the death of the Iraq Foundation’s Chairman of the Board, Basil Mahdi Al-Rahim.  Mr. Al-Rahim passed in a tragic accident on Friday, February 4, 2011.  His loss has affected us all deeply.   Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

In addition to his Board position, Mr. Al-Rahim was one of the principle co-founder of the Iraq Foundation in 1991.  Over the last 20 years, Mr. Al-Rahim’s commitment to Iraq and the Iraqi people, leadership and guidance has shaped our organization.   We will miss him greatly.
