The Iraq Foundation deplores the assassination of Aquila al-Hashimi in this continuous cycle of cowardly assaults on honest Iraqi efforts to rebuild our country.

Aquila el-Hashimi, member of Iraq's Governing Council, became today the latest victim of terrorist acts targeting the nascent democracy and stability of Iraq.
