IF completed the educational and vocational training throughout Iraq as part of the Empowering Iraqi Widows to Thrive (EWIT) project’s 2nd training cycle throughout Iraq during the month of August. Due to Ramadan, the graduation will be held in September for all widows.

In addition , IF reached out to the CoR- Committee for Labor and Social Affairs and arranged a meeting with MP Yonadme Kanna, allowing EIWT participants to meet the elected official, advocate their rights, and potition for job opportunities.

IF staff also conducted  continued to meet with the staff from international organizations to generate income opportunities through mini-grant programs, microloans and other job opportunities.
