Accountability Education Platform Workshops

Basra and Nasiriyya

IF held two in-country workshop in July 2008 to promote its Accountability Education Platform, as part of the Anti-corruption and Transparency (ACT) project. The workshops, held in Basra and Nasiriyya on July 16 and 17 respectively, aimed at expanding public outreach and education on combating corruption and promoting transparency and accountability. Participants included media representatives, members of the provincial councils, government employees, academics, NGO members and representatives from the Ministry of Human Rights and from various political, secular and religious blocs.
