Radio Programs - Cycle 3
2008 - 2009
In an effort to broaden our outreach in Iraq and reach a larger, more diverse audience across the nation, the Iraq Foundation added human rights education radio programs to the educational workshop programming in 2006. Broadcast on al-Iraqiya Radio in Iraq, the Foundation produced eight programs, addressing a variety of human rights issues.
Currently, IF is recording the third cycle of Radio programs for 2008 - 2009.
On April 5 2008, IF recorded the 1 st program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
Subject: Handicaps’ rights
Guest: Toufik Abd El-Hassan, expert in handicap affairs.
On April 6 2008, IF recorded the 2 nd program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
Subject: Minorities’ rights in Iraq
Guest: Naseer Issa Al Chajar, activist in the field of minorities’rights
On April 7 2008, IF recorded the 3 rd program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
Subject: Violence against women and the right to personal security
Guest: Asma’ Jameel; university professor.
On April 23 2008, IF recorded the 4 th program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
Subject: Gender Equality
Guest: As’ad Kathem, Associate Professor in Political Science.
On April 24 2008, IF recorded the 5 th program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
Subject: Human rights defenders
Guest: Khalil Ibraheem Kathem, NGO department director in the Ministry of Human Rights.
On April 27 2008, IF recorded the 6 th program of the 3 rd cycle of radio programs:
