Integrity Monitoring Groups Hold Town Hall Meetings throughout Iraq

January - February 2011

During the months January and February 2011, IF partner NGOs and IMGs successfully completed the implementation of 14 town-hall meetings in 14 provinces. During those town-hall meetings, the general public was able to interact face to face with the government officials of their provinces, who in return addressed the people’s inquiries and explained anti-corruption efforts and procedures adopted by the local governments. The IMGs presented interim reports on the status of the Agenda for Change being implimented in their province and invited provincial officials to discuss the findings and recommendations delivered by the IMGs and the general public.
