- The Iraq Foundation extends its deep condolences to the Iraqi nation and to the family and friends of Dr. Ahmed Chalabi. Iraq has lost a patriot who served his country with utmost dedication, intelligence, and energy. His absence is a loss for all Iraqis.


IF’s Al-Rasid Project Makes Major Advance for Yezidi Women

- The Al-Rasid Approach Since its formation in March 2015, the first priority of the al-Rasid Ninawa Provincial Task Force has been providing support to ease the suffering of minority women who have survived and escaped from imprisonment by ISIL. The Task Force advocated for minority SGBV survivors through meetings with government officials, demonstrations, and protests to urge the government to act and assist SGBV survivors. Furthermore,the suffering of Yezidi women has been at the top of the agenda for the PTF’s efforts in the province. On August 12, 2015, the task force invited the General Director of Yezidi affairs, Mr. Khayri Buzani, along with the Chairman for the Ninawa Provincial Council to their meeting. PTFs Set Priorities on GBV and Women in Peace Making

October 28, 2015
- As part of Activity 7 in Al-Rasid, PTFs held 13 community meetings  to set priorities on GBV and the inclusion of women in peace-making initiatives,. Participants focused on issues included in the NAP. These meetings were attended by 469 community members including 243 men and 226 women.  


IF and PTFs Continue NAP Promotion

- During this reporting period, the Iraq Foundation, in cooperation with the Provincial Task Forces, (PTFs) continued their advocacy efforts promoting  the NAP. 11 events were hold voluntarily beyond the approved budget resulted in increasing PTF membership to 512  to in the five provinces.
